General Conditions of Use

Article 1: Object

The service defined by these general terms and conditions of use is published by TEEPIC, a simplified joint stock company with a capital of € 2 726,45, whose registered office is at 34 rue du guet, 92 310 SEVRES, registered in the Nanterre Trade Register under number 820 479 923. This service is referred to as "the teepik application", or simply teepik, in this document.

A user of the teepik application is referred to as a "member" in this document.

The host of the teepik application is Amazon Web Service.

Article 2: Access and Connection

The teepik application is a free service accessible on a compatible mobile device whose member has free use.

All costs incurred by the member to access the service (hardware, software, Internet connection, etc.) are at his expense.

The teepik application is accessible to any member who has previously downloaded the application to their compatible mobile device and has successfully completed the registration process. A user who has successfully completed the registration procedure becomes a member.

The registration procedure includes the following actions in particular: entering the surname and first name of the member, entering of a valid email address, entering the mobile number of the member on which the application is downloaded and entering an activation code received by the member by SMS on his mobile.

The validation of the registration by the member implies acceptance of these general conditions of use of The application teepik.

Disconnection from the teepik application is possible and accessible via the "my account" section. To reconnect, the member will have to enter his mobile number and an activation code received by SMS on his mobile.

The teepik application is completely free for the member.

Article 3: Functionality

For the purposes of the application's operation, the teepik application requests from the member an authorization to access the contacts of its mobile phone for the operating needs of the application, to access his geographical position, and to display notifications. In the event that the member refuses this access to the teepik application, the service provided will be degraded.

The teepik application allows the member to:

  • Create a social network of friends by selecting one and inviting one (or more) friend from your mobile contact book or from your Facebook friend list.
  • Share one (or more) recommended contact with other members by selecting these contacts in their mobile contact book or by using the search engine of the teepik application; the member can define the members who will have access to this recommendation by selecting only their friends on the teepik application, or all the members of the teepik application.
  • For each recommended contact, the member is invited to qualify her activity, her location and other information such as e-mail address; the member is also invited to give an opinion on this recommended contact.
  • Search for contacts within contacts recommended by friends or within the teepik community.
  • Contact your friends already registered on the teepik application.
  • Invite friends who are not registered on the teepik application by sharing a personal invitation link.
  • Delete a friend or recommended contact.

For professional members, additional functionality is available:

  • Claim ownership of a professional record
  • Edit the information available on his professional page
  • Send a link to his clients to get recommended
  • See the members who have recommended it business

Article 4: Usage

Each member undertakes to use the teepik application for strictly personal purposes, excluding all commercial uses of any kind and in any form whatsoever.

Each member agrees to receive via the teepik application information or commercial messages of any kind and in any form.

Each member undertakes not to publish on the teepik application any content

  • susceptible to infringe any intellectual property right, unless it has obtained the express prior authorization of its owner
  • likely to be misleading, defamatory, abusive, pornographic, discriminatory, racist, inciting hatred or violence or otherwise objectionable, as well as, more generally, any content likely to contravene any legislative or regulatory provision or any other legally binding provision

The member is informed and accepts that TEEPIC SAS remains free to delete any content, published by the member, that may contravene these general conditions or any legal or regulatory provision.

Article 5: Confidentiality and Data Protection

The information requested at registration on the teepik application is necessary and mandatory for the creation of the member account. The information requested from the member on The teepik application is used by The teepik application for the administration, management and animation of the service; this information concerns in particular:

  • the name, first name and mobile number of the member
  • the name, first name, mobile number, activities and locations of contacts recommended by the member
  • the name, first name, mobile number of friends of the member
  • the telephone numbers or e-mail addresses of the contacts in the member's contact book if the member has given his or her access authorisation

Each member is fully informed that the contacts she will recommend to her friends will be processed as follows:

  • Notification of friends, with the information entered on the recommended contact
  • Notification of the recommended contact, by SMS, if however the mobile number is indicated by the member, on the fact that the member recommended her on the teepik application
  • If the recommended contact has subscribed to the pro premium offer of the teepik application, share the member's contact information with the recommended contact for marketing purposes.

Data associated with a contact recommended by a member are distributed exclusively to members declared as "friend" by the member who published the data on the teepik application.

If the telephone number in the contact recommended by a member is a telephone number that can be found in one of the main search engines or directories of the country, then the data of the contact recommended by a member (with the exception of the notice) is visible to all members of the teepik application. However, members will not be able to know the name of the teepik application member who made the recommendation.

The teepik application ensures that the member collects and processes personal information in a manner that respects privacy in accordance with Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms. The teepik application is declared to the CNIL under number 2039440 of March 1, 2017.

Under articles 39 and 40 of the law dated 6 January 1978, the member has a right of access, rectification, deletion and opposition to his personal data.

The member exercises this right:

The member could also request the account deletion directly from the teepik application.

The member may, for legitimate reasons, object to the processing of his personal data; however, the member is informed and expressly acknowledges that access to the teepik application may no longer necessarily be provided to him in the event of the exercise of this right of objection.

The data of the teepik application is hosted within the European Union. For the technical management and maintenance needs of the teepik application, TEEPIC SAS service providers may have access to said data in strict compliance with their duties and are, in this context, subject to an obligation of security and confidentiality.

Article 6: Liability

The teepik application allows the member to exchange contact details with other members. As an intermediate service, the teepik application will not be held liable in the event of a dispute (whatever the dispute and the involvement of the teepik application in the origin of the dispute) between:

  • two members of the teepik application
  • a member of the teepik application and a recommended contact within the teepik application

Thus, the member assumes sole responsibility for the use of the information and content of the teepik application.

TEEPIC SAS is committed to implementing all means to provide a quality service. However, any occasional or prolonged malfunction of the teepik application does not engage the responsibility of TEEPIC SAS.

In particular, access to the teepik application may be interrupted, suspended or modified at any time without notice for maintenance or any other reason. The member undertakes not to claim any compensation following the interruption, suspension or modification of the teepik application.

The member has the possibility to contact The teepik application by email at contact@teepik.com.

The member assumes the risks associated with the use of his mobile device by a third party. The site declines any responsibility related to this use by a third party.

The teepik application undertakes to implement all necessary means to guarantee the best security and confidentiality of data.

The responsibility of the teepik application cannot be engaged in case of force majeure or the unforeseeable and insurmountable fact of a third party.

TEEPIC SAS shall not be liable for any access and/or use of the teepik application contravening any of the provisions hereof or, in general, the laws and regulations in force or any other legally binding provision.

The member remains solely responsible for the content published and shared by it through the teepik application, TEEPIC SAS playing, in the context of its supply, a simple role of technical intermediary between the members and therefore falling under the qualification of host within the meaning of the legislation and regulations in force.

The member vows not to publish, through the teepik application, any content susceptible to contravene any intellectual property, unless prior and express authorization from was obtained her owner.

The member is informed and expressly acknowledges that the teepik application cannot validly constitute any means of saving and/or storing all or part of the data published by it and/or by the other members. Consequently, TEEPIC SAS cannot be held liable in the event of loss and/or deterioration, for any reason whatsoever, of all or part of the said data that it belongs to the member, if it so wishes, to safeguard and/or preserve otherwise by its own means in order to protect itself against such loss and/or deterioration.

Article 7: Intellectual Property

Trademarks, logos, signs and any other content of the teepik application are protected by the Intellectual Property Code and more particularly by copyright.

The member requires the prior authorization of the site for any reproduction, publication or copy of the various contents.

Article 8: Evolution of the General Conditions of Use

The teepik application reserves the right to modify at any time the clauses stipulated in these general conditions of use. The member will be informed of the modification of the general conditions of use and can consult them at any time in the "settings" section of the teepik application.

The member is informed that the non-acceptance of new general conditions of use could result in a loss of access to the teepik application.

Article 9: Termination of Service

TEEPIC SAS is free to terminate, ipso jure and without delay, access to and use of the teepik application in the event of a breach by the member of any of the provisions hereof or, in general, of any legislative or regulatory provision or any other legally binding provision.

In any event, TEEPIC SAS remains entirely free to terminate, without cause and at any time, access to and use of the teepik application subject to prior notice to member by notification within the teepik application and subject to a minimum notice of thirty days.

The member remains entirely free to terminate, without cause and at any time, access to and use of the teepik application by completing the unsubscribe request accessible via the website www.teepik.com

The unsubscription of the member results in the immediate and definitive deletion of all data related to this member or published by this member within The teepik application. No copy of these data may be delivered to the member.

Article 10: Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction

These general terms and conditions of use are subject to French law. Any dispute relating to the conclusion, validity, performance and termination of this agreement, as well as to access to, use and termination of the teepik application, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, notwithstanding multiple defendants and/or warranty claims.

ARTICLE 11 : Prime subscriptions

The professional members can subscribe to teepik Prime; teepik Prime is a service enabling broader and easier communication with teepik members, and offers new functionalities such as coupon editions, redeemable at partners or at the professional place directly.

teepik Prime can be subscribed to directly from Me > Professionals section in the teepik app. Payment is charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Members can manage or turn off auto-renew in your Account settings at any time after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active period.
